RESUMO
Megalourethra is an infrequent congenital malformation that compromises the penile uretra. It is the consequence of a deficient fusion of the ventral mesenchymal elements of the penis that generates the masive urethral dilatation that characterizes this pathology. Here we present a review of the literature available on megalourethra and the case of a newborn with this illness. We present it's surgical resolution with a special emphasis on the surgical technique.

La megalouretra es una malformación congénita infrecuente que afecta la uretra peneana. Es producto de una fusión deficiente de los elementos mesenquimáticos ventrales, lo que genera la dilatación masiva característica de esta malformación. Este trabajo presenta una revisión de la literatura sobre la megalouretra y el caso de un recién nacido que presentó esta patología. Presentamos aquí la resolución quirúrgica del caso con especial énfasis en la técnica utilizada (AU)
